Christmas is a great time to explore making soundscapes with students. Here is a simple poem which you can use for students to record and add in appropriate sound effects. Students should record the poem first without sound effects, save, publish, listen and evaluate. When they are happy with their recording, they can then look for appropriate sound effects to go with the poem and add them in in the correct place. Publish this second recording and ask them to listen and compare the two poems, which do they think is more effective?
