Linking home computers to classrooms in 1998!

This video from the BBC Rewind project shows just how far we have come in just 24 years.  A school in Berkshire, deemed ‘the school of the future’, shows how they are using computers in the classroom to access the internet and improve learning opportunities for pupils. The school’s computers are also linked to pupils’ home computers to help with homework, give easy access to teachers and improve parental engagement.  It is interesting to see how something we take for granted today, was thought to be revolutionary just 24 years ago.
There are many historical clips on the BBC Rewind page covering a vast array of subjects.  If you are lucky there may even be a clip from your own locality.
