World Emoji Day

We use emojis every day and there is also a day to celebrate the use of emojis!  Why July 17th?  Well that is the date famously displayed on the Calendar Emoji. The word emoji was coined in Japan in the 1990s and comes from two Japanese words, e = picture

NHS Birthday 2023

On 5 July 2023, the NHS will mark 75 years of service.  In 1948, the then Minister of Health, Aneurin Bevin, launched the NHS in Park Hospital in Manchester. Its first patient was a 13-year old called Sylvia Diggory, who was admitted with liver problems.  They will be celebrating this
